A Childhood Revisited

We decided to go for a walk by the sea on a brisk December afternoon. It was a beautiful Winter day and we decided to get Fish and Chips, visiting Oliver’s for the first time, sitting at our little table by the window. I remember feeling so comfortable and happy in that moment, just the two of us chatting over food – it was clear at this point that it was something we both loved and more importantly, loved doing with each other.

Then we did something I hadn’t done since childhood, we went to the Amusements on Redcar seafront, playing a bunch of games with each other. I never thought I’d go in there again, but after that day it became something we’d do more and more. I loved how something so ordinary felt so special with you.
